Moody’s: Number of firms on the B3 negative and lower list continues to decline

The number of companies on Moody's B3 Negative and Lower Corporate Ratings List fell 21% quarter-over-quarter, finishing June with 256 debt issuers, continuing a positive trend, Moody’s said recently. Most of these companies are concentrated in the Services sector on the B3N list, the firm added.

The number of ongoing claims for state unemployment programs totaled 1.960 million for the week ending November 27, a rise of 403,147 from the prior week (see second chart). The gain was concentrated in the Pandemic Unemployment Assistance program and the Pandemic Emergency UC program, which accounted for 93,338 of the 107,674.
